The saving grace of this is that it’s very short。 I’m not a fan of the illustrations, but bigger smol enjoys it so 🤷‍♀️

This review is of the large version! Timothy Pope looks through his telescope at the park, and sees。。。 a shark's fin! But the close perspective of the telescope is misleading - it's just a cat's ear, or crow's wing。 Die-cut pages are a fun addition to this rhyming title with a repeated refrain。 Timothy Pope looks through his telescope at the park, and sees。。。 a shark's fin! This is a fun, enjoyable story for children in FS and KS1。 There is lots of rhyme and repetition which provides pace for reading aloud, opportunities for children to apply their phonics skills as well as the possibility of children joining in。 It's a very interactive book as there are holes in the pages which make it appear like there's a shark, so children could try and guess what was in the park at the different points before turning the page to find out。 I think it would be a very popular rea This is a fun, enjoyable story for children in FS and KS1。 There is lots of rhyme and repetition which provides pace for reading aloud, opportunities for children to apply their phonics skills as well as the possibility of children joining in。 It's a very interactive book as there are holes in the pages which make it appear like there's a shark, so children could try and guess what was in the park at the different points before turning the page to find out。 I think it would be a very popular read as a whole class story。 。。。more

Really enjoyed this book。 A story about a boy called Timothy Pope who is testing out his new telescope in the park, he is worried everything he sees is a shark! Everything about this book invites children to join in while reading and is great fun。

picked this one up from the library based on the reviews we read, other than the cut out hole in the middle of the book we didn't really understand reviews being that high。。。 Also felt like there should have been a "boy who cries wolf" moral in there。 (the duck MAY have been sitting on a shark fin) picked this one up from the library based on the reviews we read, other than the cut out hole in the middle of the book we didn't really understand reviews being that high。。。 Also felt like there should have been a "boy who cries wolf" moral in there。 (the duck MAY have been sitting on a shark fin) 。。。more

This is a very good book to cause children's curiosities because it shows a circle that a picture like a shark in of a page and it makes children can answer about the picture。 I think it makes them creative。 In addition, it makes children don't judge to watch only one part。 In last part, there is really the shark, so it is a exciting factor。 This book is really good and funny to children。 This is a very good book to cause children's curiosities because it shows a circle that a picture like a shark in of a page and it makes children can answer about the picture。 I think it makes them creative。 In addition, it makes children don't judge to watch only one part。 In last part, there is really the shark, so it is a exciting factor。 This book is really good and funny to children。 。。。more
